Does Site Stats use cookies? Do I need a cookie banner?

Site Stats is built to respect your visitors’ privacy:

• No cookies and nothing stored on visitors’ devices.
• No IP addresses are stored. Visitors are counted with a code that changes every day and can’t be traced back to a person.
• No cross-site tracking, and we never sell or share the data.
• Bots and crawlers are filtered out.

Because it doesn’t use cookies or collect personal data, Site Stats itself doesn’t need a cookie banner. Other tools on your site might (ad pixels, embedded videos, chat widgets), so we check your whole site with you at launch.
